It was PBs all around at London Marathon, Chester Marathon and York Marathon with some superb running from North Endurance athletes, all of whom we've supported through coaching, bespoke plans, or our regular club run sessions.

Chester Marathon 🏁⏱️
In Chester Joe McCarthy ran a fantastic 5 minute PB to finish in 3:17:50🔥, finishing 26th V50 Cat.
York Marathon
At York, there were achievements to celebrate that go far beyond numbers 💪😍
Zak - 3:17:06
Having run his last marathon alongside his dad, this was Zak's opportunity to leave it all out there. A great negative split run from Zak and outstanding progress throughout the year.
Terry - 3:40:14 (10min PB)
An experienced MV50 runner, we've coached Terry for 12 months and in 2022 he's PBd over every distance from 5km to Marathon and was voted Penny Lane Striders most improved athlete. Coaching works 👊🏃♂️📈💥
Shane - 3:44:12 (25min PB)
Shane ran an awesome 25minute PB. Shane's enthusiasm is endless, and we're excited to see what he gets up to next year! 🏊♂️🚴♂️🏃♂️
Holly - 3:45:17
Holly is a fantastic runner but suffering from endometriosis, pain impacts her daily life. With training restricted, it was inspiring to see Holly determined to tow the start line of another marathon. Despite a cold, being sick at mile 8, and endo pain, she was stubborn enough to finish. 💪
Thom - 4:15:39 (7min PB)
Thom took an awesome 7minutes off his marathon time from spring. Despite fading, a 7-minute improvement over 6 months is fantastic! 🙌
Karen - 4:15:53 (Debut)
Karen completed her first marathon supported by Nas who was fresh from London Marathon. They almost didn't make it to York, but a solid run was always on the cards! 🤙
Lucy - 4:17:58 (Debut)
Lucy ran a well-paced race, with a determined last few miles ensuring she ran every step! A huge achievement, equally matched in fundraising for a great cause. It's great to see Lucy grow in confidence over the last few years, her perceived boundaries of her own capabilities shifting all the time. 👏
Emma - 4:33:44 (Debut)
With a twisted ankle 8 weeks out, a hip niggle leading into the race, Emma completed her first marathon, even having time to stop and help another struggling runner in the final few miles. Another huge achievement, again seeing out her goal & fundraising along the way.🙌
